12.16.11 - Great Grad School Party

Wanted to follow-up and say THANK YOU for helping us host what was a very successful event.  Everyone who attended had a wonderful time and the bartenders were a pleasure to work with (not to mention a lot of fun)!

The venue was awesome and definitely one we wouldn't have known about otherwise, so we will definitely spread the word around that it's a great place for parties.

 Thanks again for your help and we hope to do business again at some point in the future.

08.18.11 - Successful Netowrking Events!

Dear Mandi,

I wanted to let you know that we had a great event last night and really enjoyed our time at the Irish Exit. The staff was wonderful and the food and drinks were terrific (compliments to the chef). The venue was the perfect size/atmosphere for what we were looking for. We would love to work with you in the future as we plan more events in New York.

05.12.11 - Best Happy Hour in Midtown - NY Eats Blog

The Irish Exit NYC - I chose The Irish Exit (located @ 978 2nd Ave corner of 52nd Street) first because they have an AWESOME special going on tonight and every Thursday — $1 sliders ALL day, their World Famous $1 mug night from 9pm-2am and according to their website $5 Three Olive Vodka Drinks during happy hour — count me in! Head there tomorrow night for $5 Burgers and 1/2 price happy hour from 6-9pm to wash it down.

But this is not just your average Irish pub, every night has another special, and how can you beat that? Mondays are $1 cheeseburger sliders for Beer Pong Monday, and they offer a free comedy show starting at 8pm every Tuesday accompanied by $4 beers & .$50 wings! (free comedy show, how cool is that?) Where the ladies at?! Every Saturday night you’ll receive FREE champagne at the door after 9pm, note to the men — this is only for the ladies — plus you might look a little silly sipping from a delicate flute glass. The constantly changing drink specials at Irish Exit are generously affordable for midtown, and there’s a large dining room in the back with a full bill of Irish fare, including some notably creative heart-attack-inducing bar snacks like Irish Nachos (that’d be potato chips piled with corned beef and melted cheddar cheese) and “Techno Fries” (mozzarella, bacon, and, oh boy, Guinness- infused gravy). 01.05.11 - BCG Holiday Party Thank You

The event at the Irish Exit was great! I thought you were very accommodating and worked with my budget (which wasn't big so it was nice to still have a great event with drinks and good food and yet stay within my budget). 

 

The space is great - especially the two fireplaces and private bar - it makes for a nice private event. The staff was great and the food was really good - a lot of people commented on how good it was. Thanks again for all your help - I hope we get to do another event there soon!

"I love it! This place feels like one of those crowded college bars where everyone is just going crazy and having fun. Definitely a young crowd in there, everyone was probably in their 20s.
I came here because my friend won a happy hour, so half priced drinks for all! My screwdriver as only $3 after the 50% off. There is a girl that walks around selling test tubes of drinks for $5. She is the best saleslady ever, she is so good that my guy friends had to tell her to stop coming to our table because its so hard to say no. They have shots of tequila, soca, sex on the beach etc. I had a soca.
Thursday is a great day to go here because they have $1 beer. $1 beer! This place is packed by 930pm on a Thursday night and everyone was going crazy. There were girls dancing on the bar top, people singing together to songs, and yes, its very crowded.

"I normally dislike Irish bars/bars in general, but this one was pretty chill.  Came here for the free comedy show which was entertaining.  We also got hooked up a bit on drinks, and the bartender was super attentive (ate here before the show).

Throughout the show, the server was EXTREMELY attentive-I always saw him picking up drinks, asking if people wanted more, etc.  It was impressive.

12.22.10 - Thank You from the UN!

"The part party was a great success with many people asking that we make sure to book early with you for this year's party!  Others have expressed the idea that we should do it all again in the summer - we will definitely come back to the Irish Exit if we can make the party happen.

 

The premises were excellent for our needs - a decent sized room with plenty of space for dancing and to rest.  Having the bar in the function room was also great as no-one had to search for a waitress for a drink and people didn't have to leave the party to congregate at the bar.  The bartender did a great job ensuring everyone was served. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. 

 

The food was enjoyed by everyone - I didn't receive any complaints that it didn't taste good or that there wasn't enough.  I can't say I really noticed as I was too busy having fun.  I believe it was replenished during the evening.

 

So, on the whole, the evening was enjoyed by everyone and we look forward to coming to your bar again.  I can't honestly tell you how to improve as we all thought it was excellent.

Are you fretting because you still haven't been to the Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel? Does knowing that Andre Balazs is turning the whole thing into a members only club have you depressed? It's time to turn that frown upside down, because we found a way for everyone to hang out at the Boom Boom Room! There's just one catch. This Boom Boom Room is a reconfigured part of Irish Exit in midtown, not the one in the Meatpacking District with the celebrities, killer views and such.
